Bamboo OP #1

1. Yoko as a character isn't very concerned about very many people other than herself. She's the youngest in her family, so she hasn't been given very much respect (considering her family calls her 'Little One') and she doesn't have too much respect for other people. She has a great family, though. She needs to learn some respect for her bigger (bossy) sister.
2. Yoko thinks that Ko is bossy and sort of controlling. Ko thinks that Yoko is a little careless and sloppy. Yoko calls Ko 'Honorable Sister' because it is a tradition in thier family or in their culture. When they were on the train, Ko decided to take some charge and talk to some of the patients and help with whatever she could, while Yoko was only really concerned about herself and what she needed. I think that they both had traits about their sisters that they didn't like, but they were pretty close and they were family.
3. The family reacts very well in my eye. They were very passionate towards the patients and they helped with whatever they could. Like when Yoko gave the pregnant woman some of her water because she was thirsty and Yoko's mother gave some tips on how to take care of some of the hard stuff in mothering. I think the author wanted to tell us that all three girls were very passionate, caring, loving, kind people and that they were very good to other people who needed their help.
