1a. The setting of the book is mainly at school from what I know. It takes place in 1969.
1b. The film projector is one clue. We don't really use film projectors anymore. Another clue is that the kids are smoking at school. In the older days, people didn't know how bad it was for you, and it really was considered cool. Typewriters. I can't recall the last time I used a typewriter! Also, teachers don't wear a suit and tie to school, unless it's a college, which they don't wear the whole shebang.
2a. My quote is, '"You made me waste a perfectly good cigarette."' I love that and I think that's a really good line because in the day, the scholars did smoke at school. I love that whole page (pg. 24) because of the prank and the mention of the smoking. I think it's kind of classic of the author to mention that.
3a. I think we could and should talk about Christy, the character; and how she reacted to Ben on pg. 26-28. She was so calm and sensitive toward what he was into and how he was behaving. I thought about how I might have reacted if someone was being rude to my face.
