Independant Reading Week 3

This week, I'm reading a different book called So B. It. It's about the life of this girl whose mother has some disorder (I think it's Autism) that prevents her from living a normal life. The girl's name is Heidi and she's 12 years old. When Heidi was about a week old, her mother was in the rain, coming up to her appartment, and she knocked on the wrong door. The person that opened the door to the appartment next to theirs, was named Bernadette, or Bernie. The mother (later called herself So B. It) stood there, and then walked away to her own appartment. Bernie noticed that she had some disorder, and so ever since that night, Bernie had been taking care of So B. It and Heidi. Somewhere along the line, So B. It started using a word, soof. Heidi and Bernie start to wonder what this word means. Heidi gets so curious, she travels by herself all the way to Liberty, New York. Trying to find the meaning of a picture that Heidi found in the back of her closet, Heidi travels on a bus, meeting strangers, conversing with weirdos, and lying to the only person that knows everything that Heidi has gone through to finally find a family, and hopefully someone to help.
