OP #4

2. She realizes that Ko wasn't doing anything for school, she was trying to make more money to buy something nice and traditional for Yoko for the New Year. This shows Yoko that Ko is willing to spend time to make her sister's life that much better. Yoko changes form hating Ko, to loving her and being thankful for her.
3q (q for question). Explain your reaction to thier mother's death.
3a (a for answer). I was really surprised and sad. It didn't seem like she was that sick. I felt like I wanted to cry, and the thought that she died at her daughter's side, and that she didn't get to see her oldest daughter before she died. :(
3 Comments:
1. i agree with that too. they are the only people who dont have friends, and he was the only nice person.
3. uhh ya ur right. i didnt seem like she was that sick. i thought it was strange that her last words were "hold on to the wrapping cloth" not something like"i love you"

#1 I agree with you that Yoko wants to help because Mr.Naido was the only one nice to Yoko. I also agree that they are both kind of outcasts because of and incident.
#2 I agree that Yoko's feelings gets changed against Ko because Yoko sees thaKo was just trying to help.
#3 I was surprised that she died. I thought that she just had a seizure when it happened. Then it said she lays there still and silent.

1 i agree that she wanted to help him because he was nice to her and he was the only one that she could talk to.
