"Betty Ann" Response

1. I think that the saddest part to me was the part about when Betty Ann's mom asked Ina (the main character) about why she didn't like Betty Ann because I think that it would be kind of hard on a mother to know that her daughter was unliked in her class. I also think that it was really sad when she saw Betty Ann at the nurse. That was just sssoooo depressing when she said, "Sticks and stones only break bones. Words can shatter the soul," becasue it's so true. Most people think that the only saying is, "Sticks and stones break my bones, but words can never hurt me," but I think that both sayings are true.
2. I don't really know if I would've done anything, but I wouldn't have made fun of Betty Ann. In the situation including the phone call, I think I could've handled better. The result of the phone call was horrible and same with the entire inmact. I might have put some kind of jolt or thought into other people's mind; but I don't think I could've completely STOPPED the whole thing.
3. I think the moral is that you should always think things through before you put them to action. If you do something to someone that you shouldn't have, you can't undo it. Things were made like that for a reason. Some things happen and they hurt people, those kinds of things can't be undone.
