My Fave Book!

I think my favorite book from last year was Al Capone Does my Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko. It's about a family in 1935 who moves to Alcatraz because the father got a job there and has to deal with the package that comes with it. The main character, Moose Flanagan, 12, misses playing baseball with his old buddies and now has to make new friends, one of which is the warden's daughter, who is very scheming and cannot be trusted. Also, Moose has to be aware of his sister, Natalie, 15 (but her mother tells her she's 10), who suffers from autism, and gets in the way of Moose's life. This is a great book full of... everything!
